We’re partnering with a global commercial organisation operating at the intersection of retail, FMCG and supply chain to find an experienced Procurement and SRM Lead to join their directs procurement team in London.
This role is pivotal in managing and strengthening relationships with strategic suppliers across a highly complex, fast-moving industry. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to drive supplier performance through collaboration and negotiation. This is a dynamic market and needs a procurement professional equipped at delivering against demanding time frames and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and optimise supplier relationship management and category strategies to deliver measurable value for the directs procurement team
- Drive complex contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management principles
- Collaborate cross-functionally across commercial, finance and operational teams to enhance sourcing processes and build strategic partnerships with key suppliers
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement within supplier management
- Work independently while supporting shared business goals and supplier initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, SRM or supply chain, ideally in retail, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals
- A track record of driving performance with suppliers and establishing strategic partnerships for long term delivery
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at multiple levels
- Confident working with complex data and translating insights into actionable strategies
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
- A self-starter with strong strategic planning and decision-making abilities
