General Manager UK & I - Director level - Pharmaceutical Distributor - £75,000 - £85,000 + Package - Surrey
I'm thrilled to be working with this market-leading pharmaceutical distributor, they have a fantastic client base of global and boutique brands and due to recent investments are looking to expand into new areas and geographies.
Due to this, they are now looking to hire for a brand new position reporting to the VP, Supply Chain - this person will be responsible for the in-house UK distribution hub, outsourced transport partnerships and development initiatives including automation and new site start-up across UK & I.
You will have full autonomy and ownership to drive the logistics strategy for the region leading on transformational initiatives and change programmes with a collaborative and driven organisation
What will the role entail?
- You will have accountability for operational effectiveness and long term strategy of the inhouse warehouse & 3PL transport providers
- Consistently reviewing capacity and opportunities, whilst driving cost saving & service performance improvements.
- Designing & implementing the roadmap for the warehouse operations, bringing the operations to the next level as well as leading new warehouse set ups and improvement projects.
- Review the overall logistics network, building strong partnerships with customers and suppliers highlighting key bottlenecks & area of opportunities
- Working with the key stakeholders across the business to help align company goals and push new ideas for efficiency and cost reduction
Key skills and experience required?
- A hands on and determined logistics/operations professional with a deep understanding of Pharmaceutical distribution
- Previous roles could include; Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, General Manager, Regional General Manager, Logistics Manager, Senior Operations Manager,
- Track record in driving improvement initiatives & optimising warehouse operations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and influencing skill
- Ability to understand complex operations and drive change
- Enthusiasm to deliver a best in class supply chain and develop yourself & others
