You'll have the opportunity to develop and implement an innovative change strategy which puts the consumer first and enables a competitive advantage through logistics, delivery proposition development and customer experience. You'll have a full European remit responsible for both strategic and tactical objectives, developing the logistics operations to be 'best in class'.
What will the role entail?
- The primary role across the next 12-18 months will be to develop the operational and strategic activity across one of the most complex divisions in the business
- Leading the long term strategy and operational ownership across Europe building a robust, profitable and superior service-level operation
- Lead a customer-centric transformation across the logistics division, to become a customer's first choice for their product, developing delivering propositions, offering and availability
- Responsible for building exceptional relationships with 3PL logistics contracts, accountable for tenders and driving sustainable service and cost reduction initiatives
- Regular travel to sites and operations across Europe building a strong team mentality.
Key skills and experience required?
- Expert in logistics strategy, specifically in outbound omnichannel (Ecom/Retail/Apparel/3PL) and knowledge of inhouse and 3PL operations
- Excellent understanding of D2C, delivery proposition development and being customer’s first choice using logistics as a competitive advantage with a demonstrable track record of implementing these initiatives
- Managed €MM transport budget and led large tenders, setting SLA frameworks with providers across Europe
- Able to easily navigate a matrix drive environment, strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- An enthusiastic, honest and open leader, willing to learn from mistakes and foster a supportive team culture
