I am pleased to be working with a leading food retail business who are looking for a candidate with multi-functional skills and extensive knowledge in product availability planning. This role falls within the central supply planning department and will be responsible for creating short and long-term volume plans for a specific category of products and work closely with logistics partners to ensure availability for customers.

In this role, you will be collaborating closely with logistics, category, and finance teams, to help refine volume plans for your specific category. Using your planning experience, you will be responsible for ensuring correct volumes of products are sent through the channels at optimal level at the right time to ensure high availability for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing data to inform decisions that help improve volume flow through relevant channels.

  • Planning and scheduling for key events and seasonal peaks i.e Christmas, Summer, Easter; by collaborating with forecasting teams to improve accuracy in volume predictions.

  • Reporting on a daily/weekly/quarterly basis to communicate and track volume flow efficiency.

  • Communicating and collaborating with external stakeholders such as 3PLs to ensure correct volumes are being managed and delivered to customers in time and in full.

Key skills and experience required:

  • 2+ years' experience working in a similar logistics/supply chain planning role, within FMCG/Retail environment.

  • Organised and with great prioritization skills.

  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.

  • High level Excel/IT skills. Must have an analytical way of thinking. Comfortable with large sets of numerical data.
