Global Head of Technical - Prestige cosmetics start-up - London (with flex. working)

Perhaps the most exciting start-up business to enter the Cosmetics industry in the past 10 years are recruiting for a Global Head of Technical to further supplement their high-calibre leadership team. You'll be the leading figure for all things Technical & Regulatory, build the technical function and you'll have the chance to hire your own team. The business themselves operate at a rapid pace, no two days are the same and they're on track for a £bn valuation in the next 2 years. As a result it's an incredibly exciting time to join this business, where despite being a senior hire you can develop alongside a brand and cement yourself as a future Director/CXO.

Global Head of Technical role overview:

  • Joining a Greenfield Technical function, you'll be responsible for identifying and developing new technologies, processes and innovation plans for the product development cycle

  • Partner with external labs to develop new formulations for the award-winning product range

  • Build and manage a team to ensure market and technical compliance, leading on relationships with regulatory agencies

  • Play a key role in the development of overall Technical strategy over the next 5 years, working directly with the board to set your vision into motion.

  • Work with the NPD & Branding teams to help develop product stories and to provide broader technical & regulatory support.

Your background:

  • Technical/R&D experience within the cosmetics/skincare sector is essential for this position

  • Professional/Academic background in chemistry preferred

  • Experience building teams within a Technical/Regulatory environment, leading on formulation initiatives.

  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships internally & externally is essential

  • Exposure to deploying new technologies into the NPD process is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering at pace, preferably within high-growth businesses.

Any other business…

  • Salary flexible for the right candidate, but c.£75,000 plus package

  • The expected working pattern will be 1 day per week in the London HQ, but could be up to 3 days per week if projects demand. This will be rare, but any prospective candidate must be able to commit to this before applying.
