Location - West London - 4 days per week (There will be weekly travel to Norfolk 2 days per week for the first 3-6 months - all expensed)
Pod Talent are excited to be working with a contemporary British brand, currently leading the way on their sustainability initiatives, who are seeking a Head of Warehousing Operations to join on a permanent basis.
A very exciting time to join a business as they embark on a period of expansion, this position will be responsible for supporting the company to scale for the future, whilst delivering efficiency gains and ensuring the best customer service throughout.
As Head of Warehousing Operations, you will be responsible for a site (soon to be multiple site) operation, including the pick, pack and shipping operation, alongside leading to ensure improvements are effectively delivered using the latest Lean techniques.
Key responsibilities for the Head of Warehousing Operations:
Full responsibility over the pick, pack and shipping operations, including defining medium to long term operational plans to support business objectives / goals
Health, Safety and Environmental leadership across all operational sites.
Responsibility over operational budgeting/forecasting
Leading projects, with a focus around operational improvements and using Lean techniques
Key experience/skills required for the position of Head of Warehousing Operations:
Experience leading pick, pack, and shipping operation, with a focus around continuous improvements
Returns handling experience
Experience setting and managing budgets, ideally with a focus on operational costs
People management, with a desire to coach, mentor and develop senior managers
A collaborative and pro-active approach, with experience working cross functionally and influencing stakeholders
