Pod Talent have been asked to find a strong Procurement Manager who will lead a growing Procurement department. You will be tasked with managing, motivating a driving the Procurement function, working closely with key stakeholders in the business and creating strong relationships with global customers and partners.

This role will have a strong focus across Logistics spend, focussing heavily on Air and Ocean freight. Within this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Take action with underperforming suppliers

  • Create the Procurement strategy for Air and Ocean freight such as building the relationship, identifying targets, etc

  • Both internal and external stakeholder management

  • Drive business improvements to enable business targets

  • Promote a positive culture where you are able to challenge and mentor your department

This role will work in a very fast paced environment so you will need to be able to adapt to

change and have a strong understanding of project management. In addition, you will also

need experience in the following:

  • Strong experience in leading negotiations whilst having a strong background in Air & Ocean freight

  • Ability to balance projects

  • Ability to manage and empower team

  • A solution focused approach to work to improve ways of working

  • Experience with ERP, and an ability to present when necessary

  • Language skills are a plus
