​Salary: €35,000 – €50,000 + Bonus + Car

Pod Talent are currently working exclusively with a Global Packaging Organisation on a Logistics Transportation Manager Italy position. As a manager you will have the capability and competence to build and strengthen relationships, drive innovation, add business value and deliver sustainability throughout the supplier base. This role will report to the Global Head of Logistics Supplier Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, execute and manage supplier strategy that brings long term value to the business

  • Identify new suppliers in new regions/products/capabilities to ensure excellence within the current supplier base

  • Manage Key Suppliers at C-Suite Leve (CEO, Board Level), maintaining strategic and influential relationships across the network

  • Lead supplier and technical innovation and best practice to deliver key Transport and Infrastructure projects and integrated logistics solutions across the business

  • Work closely with Local Logistics specialists to create, implement and oversee the supplier performance management

  • Manage risk by analysing current/future market transport conditions and defining contingency plans to ensure critical supply needs are met

  • Negotiate with suppliers and Management of large scale RFQ approaches end to end and the SME support RFQ processes

Key Requirements:

  • Degree level educated in relevant discipline e.g. Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Management or Operations.

  • Minimum 5 working years exp. in Logistics operations

  • Strong background within Production/Manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial analysis

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Self motivated & hard worker

  • Growth Mindset
