Procurement and Contracts Manager - 12 Month FTC - World Renowned FMCG Brand - Complex Commercial Transformation Project - £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Package
Over the next 12 months, this globally renowned business will be going through a huge consolidation project to align multiple business entities under one umbrella. Now is the opportune time to go through all the procurement service contracts to ensure that duplicate supplier contracts are novated, there are no commercial discrepancies and new competitive terms can be negotiated. It is a very exciting challenge for any procurement professional with strong contracts experience to get involved in a complex merger project and add a brilliant brand to their CV.
The Procurement and Contracts Manager role
You will be working as part of the indirects procurement function with a spend portfolio more than £350M in the UK&I. You will play a pivotal role in the project with a focus on 3 key areas:
Reviewing all existing service contracts (predominantly Professional Services, HR, Facilities and Marketing) across the 3 different business functions to:
Work with Legal to identify duplicate supplier contracts with any discrepancies in their terms
Help negotiate new, more competitive terms
Working with procurement to help define service requirements and rationalise supplier base where necessary
Help implement a new contract management tool - working with key stakeholders across the business to design and implement better processes and promote compliance to ensure a swift and efficient onboarding process
Perform a spend analysis project on a specific business entity's indirects spend portfolio to identify opportunities to rationalise
Skills and Experience Required
Must have strong contract management experience across indirects service areas such as Professional Services, Marketing, HR and Facilities
Will need prior experience working with legal to help identify contractual issues and help draft new contracts
Prior experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations would be very beneficial
Experience working with contract management tools
Excellent stakeholder management skills are a must - candidates must be able to demonstrate the gravitas and confidence to work with senior leadership level
The ability to create and define processes in a fluid environment - with a proactive mindset to identify relevant stakeholders and overcome challenges
