Pod are working with an exciting world-renowned organisation to find a leader who will transform the Procurement department into a customer-centric function. This is a business that delivers value through innovation, sustainability, and knowledge of the industry. You will take the lead in setting the transformation strategy, aligning it to the challenges and ambition of the organisation.
This role is part of the leadership team where you will steer and support the global procurement ambition whilst representing the business as the Procurement ambassador. You will be responsible for the following:
Manage and motivate the global category team and drive the cross-functional global sourcing teams
Develop and implement the strategy for Direct spend
Install governance structures and manage the yearly cost budget
Build the transformation agenda through innovation and sustainability
Manage knowledge sharing and relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders
Implement Health and Safety structures and systems
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in Global Procurement or Supply Chain whilst having experience leading a global team and the sourcing strategies. In addition, you must also have experience in the following:
Change management, program management and process improvement capabilities
Previous experience in Pharma, Nutrition or FMCG preferred
Very results driven with solid interpersonal skills
An ability to bring new idea to the table and drive key messages through the business
