Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager - Global Blue Chip Manufacturing Firm - South East - £55,000-£65,000

One of the world's preeminent manufacturing firms are looking for a NEBOSH accredited Senior HSE Manager to devise and implement a holistic HSE strategy to support an ongoing transformation within their core production capability tower. An ambitious and driven individual is required to shift the culture of HSE, working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across Engineering, Facilities, ISO Auditing and Operations to create a 'safety first' mindset across the business.

The ideal applicant will have a strong HSE background within a manufacturing business (food, pharma, life sciences, chemicals preferred) and have demonstrable experience influencing business-wide approaches to Health & Safety. This is a role where you will set the goals, have the bandwidth to create your own agenda and set the direction for the entire site to follow, so a self-starter is a must for this position.

Why should I apply for this role?

  • Firstly, this is an opportunity to join a prestige firm with a reputation for being an innovative market leader and is consistently recognised as being a fantastic place to work.

  • Unlike many other roles of this ilk, you will have the freedom to drive and implement positive HSE change according to your vision, rather than following pre-existing mandates.

  • The chance to join a global business on a positive growth trajectory, and the development opportunities that come with it.

Key skills/attributes required to be successful in post:

  • Unafraid to take fresh, innovative approaches to the HSE landscape within the business.

  • Strong influencing capability, previous track-record of working cross-functionally to deliver exceptional results.

  • Transformation and/or strategic projects experience is preferred, given the current state of the business and their approach to HSE.

  • NEBOSH accreditation is strongly preferred (or equivalent).
