Position: Sr European Strategic Buyer Marketing 

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Salary: EUR 70,000 – EUR 80,000 + 10% Bonus


Pod Talent are currently working with a Global FMCG Organisation in Netherlands on a Sr European Strategic Buyer Marketing position. With this position, you will be responsible to leverage Top Line sourcing and process at European level in the full value chain. You will play a key role in the company efficiency program, by adapting the global program plan and generate Europe regional efficiency ideas and implement them to generate savings.

  • Work across all the marketing categories for all CBUs. The key categories are: Advertising, Shopper (incl. POS, Design and Graphic Chain), Strategy & Insights.

  • Accountable for creation of initiatives and validation with Finance for European projects

  • Lead Local tender processes and fee negotiation

  • Build and share market analysis at local / regional level taking into account global / regional category guidance and business context

  • Implement and manage Europe framework agreements and scope of work related to global frame contracts

  • Continuously review marketing spend to identify future sourcing opportunities in close collaboration with the regional Europe Top Line Procurement Director

  • Maintain active knowledge of best-in-class agencies, market rates, and spend profile for the marketing categories and benchmark with other organizations

  • Build and ensure strong working relationships with local, regional and global stakeholders

  • Monitor quality service and performance of suppliers, including management of service evaluations, and serve as a resource to resolve issues


Key Requirements:

  • Degree level educated in relevant discipline e.g. Business, Economics, Marketing, Supply Management.

  • 5+ years exp. working in Marketing procurement

  • Ideally have a few years exp. working in Marketing, Brand Management OR Account management within Marketing Agency

  • Teamwork & Motivating Others
