Technical Services and Facilities Procurement Lead - Germany

​Pod Talent are currently working with a Global Chemicals organisation in Germany on a Technical Services and Facilities Procurement Lead position. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement activities in Germany across all sites with a particular focus on indirect procurement. A large part of the spend is concentrated around procuring Site Technical services and Facilities management however there is opportunity to be involved in all activities across both direct and indirect procurement as well as the added responsibility of leading activities on an international perspective across their Nordic and Eastern European sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement of Goods and Services for German sites

• Manage risk by analysing current/future procurement market conditions

• Optimise existing supplier contracts

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers, providing high level of issue resolution where necessary

• Negotiation of purchasing conditions, strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management

• Establish and evaluate performance metrics of categories and own cost saving results

• Lead team of 4 people

Key Requirements:

• Degree level educated in relevant discipline e.g. Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Management or Operations.

• 5+ years experience purchasing Technical services, Facilities with some experience leading a small team

• Strong background within a Manufacturing environment

• Fluent English and German is a must

• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial analysis

• Self motivated & hard worker
