Selim Tansuğ, Chief Operating Officer – The Quality Group
Sam Berke, Head of Global Supply Chain Search at Pod Talent, sat down with Selim Tansuğ, Chief Operating Officer at The Quality Group to explore his remarkable 20-year career journey from Unilever to leading transformation in a high-growth, private equity-backed business.
Selim began his career as a management trainee at Unilever, rotating through planning, warehouse management, and customer service before taking on his first major challenge: building and running a new ice cream factory.
He later led major site transformations, relocated to Vietnam as Head of Supply Chain, and returned to Europe to oversee logistics and e-commerce.
After 18 years at Unilever, Selim transitioned to The Quality Group, a fast-growing sports nutrition company, as COO – taking on a completely different environment in the private equity world.
Selim’s story is one grounded in people, data, and the courage to step into the unknown. His “perform and transform” philosophy is a powerful reminder that execution and innovation must go hand in hand.
