BACKGROUND
In late 2023, Pod was referred to IPP Pooling/Faber Group by a global consultancy partner supporting the business on a major Supply Chain transformation. IPP had been experiencing rapid growth up to 30% year-on-year and, under a new COO, were investing heavily in strengthening their logistics, supply chain, and commercial functions. They needed a strategic partner who understood the complexity of European supply chains and could help them build teams across multiple markets.
OUR APPROACH
Pod engaged with HR and business leaders across multiple European markets to define hiring requirements and ensure consistency in approach. Beyond recruitment delivery, our work included:
- Creating employer branding and marketing materials to bring the IPP story to life in a competitive talent market
- Salary benchmarking and role analysis to align expectations across regions
- Supporting organisation design, helping define and scope new roles
- Designing a candidate attraction strategy focused on engaging people who may not have known the IPP brand
Our goal was to position IPP as an employer of choice in logistics, supply chain operations and commercial roles - highlighting the culture, growth, and innovation behind the transformation.
This strategic approach ensured alignment between IPP’s transformation agenda and talent acquisition objectives.
DELIVERY
- With growing demand across multiple countries, we built a dedicated account structure with an Account Manager coordinating closely with IPP’s HR and business teams. Our delivery included
- Retained and exclusive search for key roles
- Headhunting, referrals, advertising, and talent mapping across Europe
- Weekly update calls and shortlists to ensure total transparency We supported the build of a brand-new EU Logistics Excellence Team, alongside senior commercial and operational hires across the region. Roles included: Head of Operations, Commercial Director DACH, Operations Director DACH, Country Director Poland, Business Development Manager, Head of Sales & Account Management, Head of Commercial Contracting, EU Project Manager, and EU Pricing Manager. Over 18 months, Pod placed more than 15 people across six European markets.
THE RESULT
Pod successfully placed over 15 roles across Europe in 18 months, achieving:
- 100% offer acceptance rate
- 94% of placed candidates are still in the role after 12 months
- Pod have now been recommended across the group to support their recruitment and talent strategy
- Pod now have preferred supplier status with IPP Pooling
