I am currently partnering with a global leader within the aerospace/aviation market, who is looking for a dynamic individual to join their fast-growing team in a newly created role as a Demand Planner.
In this role, you will ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management to support global sales and operational goals.
In this role,
You will:
- Manage monthly S&OP processes, including safety stock reviews, inter‑company forecasts, and forecast alignment with OEM schedules, bid models, and key contracts.
- Analyse sales and forecast data, report on product availability, track contract part numbers, and deliver monthly forecast, KPI, and performance reports.
- Lead monthly planning and forecasting meetings, monitor forecast accuracy, identify misalignments, and support decision‑making with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and business development on new products, contracts, and margin issues, ensuring complete and accurate forecast and item data.
- Support slow‑moving stock reduction, maintain product master data, and assist with training and cover duties for the wider sales team when required.
- 3+ years’ experience in demand planning or a similar analytical planning function, with strong ability to process, interpret, and act on data - particularly around KPIs and performance metrics.
- A collaborative team player who works effectively cross‑functionally and builds strong relationships with supply chain, operations, commercial, and senior stakeholders.
- Confident communicator who is comfortable being challenged by senior leaders and can influence upwards as well as work hands‑on with operational teams.
- Right attitude, curiosity, drive, and willingness to grow.
- Industry experience in aerospace, automotive, or defence is highly desirable and would be a strong advantage.
