Distribution Fulfilment Manager- London (2 days in office)- Up to £50,000
Our client is a fast-growing consumer products business with an international customer base spanning B2B, D2C, retail and marketplace channels. Operating within a purpose-led and entrepreneurial environment, the business is scaling rapidly and investing in its operations function to ensure outstanding customer service, supply chain efficiency and sustainable growth across global markets.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Distribution & Fulfilment Manager will take ownership of outbound logistics and fulfilment operations across multiple regions and sales channels. Leading relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders and fulfilment partners, you will be responsible for driving OTIF performance, reducing costs, improving operational efficiency and ensuring customers receive a seamless delivery experience.
Key responsibilites:
- Manage end-to-end fulfilment and distribution operations across B2B, D2C, retail and marketplace channels, ensuring high levels of customer service and delivery performance
- Own relationships with third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders, holding partners accountable to agreed service levels, KPIs and cost targets
- Drive OTIF performance, monitor operational metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience
- Identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities across warehousing, freight, fulfilment and logistics activities without compromising service levels
- Act as the escalation point for fulfilment and delivery issues, working cross-functionally to resolve challenges and improve processes
- Lead and develop a small operations team, creating scalable processes, clear performance measures and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience managing fulfilment, distribution, logistics or warehouse operations within a fast-paced consumer goods, e-commerce or retail environment
- Strong experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders and external logistics providers, with a track record of improving performance and service levels
- Demonstrated success delivering operational improvements, process implementation projects and cost-saving initiatives
- A proactive, hands-on and commercially minded approach, with the confidence to challenge suppliers, negotiate improvements and drive accountability
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Customer Experience, Operations and external partners
