E-Mobility Chemist: Automotive Battery Cells – Dusseldorf
A rare opportunity has arisen for a chemist from an automotive or industrial background to join one of Europe’s largest businesses as they launch a brand new e-mobility team.
You will be working within a world-class scientific community to design and launch new products into the rapidly growing e-mobility market. From creating product specifications through to industrialisation, you will oversee the entire formulation process for products enabling battery safety & battery system performance. You will be interacting with executive level stakeholders both internally and externally, helping businesses across the globe to embrace the future of battery cell technology.
Spot market trends and distil them into product/technology roadmaps for automotive battery applications
Create innovative product specifications for all elements of battery performance, including assembly, protection, thermal management & mechanical stressing.
Build strategic partnerships with external customers to deliver world-class scientific solutions to leading automotive manufacturers
Advise customers around technological solutions to support batteries of the future
Skills & Attributes Required:
MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science etc
Several years’ experience within batteries (cells, components, materials & systems) within automotive or aerospace sectors
Strong knowledge of battery trends & developments
Professional level proficiency in English (written & verbal) – German language skills are advantageous but by no means essential for this role
