Pod Talent are currently working with a Global Packaging Organisation across Europe searching for a Global Procurement Manager Digitalization position. With this position you will be responsible in digital procurement strategy and play a key role in requirement specification, identifying alternatives, evaluation and selection, planning and coordination, deployment, integration and implementation, maintenance of procurement tech and supporting tools that ensure efficiency and effectiveness of best practice procurement processes.

Contribute to the development of procurement technology long-term strategy, partnering with Global Procurement leadership and peers to identify and prioritize technology/automation opportunities that will enable the achievement of business objectives
Develop procurement technology road map and deployment plans including risk/contingency plans
Specify, identify, evaluate, select, deploy and maintain procurement technologies and supporting tools across the entire procurement technology landscape (e.g. category management, performance management, sourcing, SRM, CLM, source-to-pay, data analytics etc.)
Work with cross functional teams (internal and/or external) to lead the implementation, and drive adoption of procurement technologies and supporting tools, effectively applying change management principles and processes.
Communicate status on technology deployment activities.
Keep stakeholders well informed of project status across projects and serve as technical liaison between system end-users and IT design/ development teams (internal or external resources).
Apply knowledge of industry trends, innovation and developments to proactively identify new technologies and supporting tools that will ensure efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of best practice sourcing and procurement processes moving forward.
Ensure customer focus by communicating and building rapport with internal customers.
Develop training material and train users on Global Procurement technology, processes and supporting tools.
University degree, Masters degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in Procurement with a focus on technology, processes and systems.
5+ years’ hands-on experience in deploying procurement technology solutions in a global organization across the entire procurement process landscape (Source-to-Pay).
Demonstrated ability to drive change by working across organizational boundaries without direct hierarchical control of resources.
Demonstrated ability in orchestrating solution delivery teams composed of both external and internal resources.
Proven ability in change management, effectively increasing the level of digital dexterity of the procurement organization.
Ideal candidate has experience in IT category management and has sourced technology solutions.
Effectively leading multi-discipline teams to deliver sophisticated projects.
Adept at working with agile delivery methodologies through Scrum; Prog. Management methodologies, Six Sigma etc.
Expert knowledge and opinion leader on procurement technology landscape.
Demonstrated ability of program management and process improvement.
Ability to think globally and act locally combining strategic thinking and excellence in execution with strong accountability and responsibility for achieving results.
