One of the largest global food manufacturing brands has recently invested millions into creating a brand-new, best in class procurement function and are looking for innovative, strategic procurement professionals to join them on their journey.

Excelling in the industry for over 200 years, my client has a reputation for creating key products - a staple in kitchens globally. From sauces to seasonings, vinegars and condiments, they've done it all.

The junior indirect buyer will play a key role in providing support to the Indirect Category Buyer with main responsibilities including but not limited to supporting the Indirect Category Buyer in administration of the Indirect Category, responsibility for Master Data associated with procurement, including Supplier set up & categorisation, Item set up, and Price data and more.

The Junior Indirect Buyer will be responsible for:

Support Indirect Category Buyer (50% of time)

  • Undergo training to learn & understand Indirect Category Management.

  • Support Indirect Category Buyer in administering the Indirect Category

  • Following proven understanding, capability & performance, manage defined, non-critical, low risk Indirect Suppliers under the supervision of the Indirect Category Buyer.

Administer the Indirect Business Flowchart: Liaise with internal stakeholders, Legal and the Board members to facilitate contract approval via the Indirect Business Flowchart Maintain ERP Master data integrity & Compliance (10% of time)

  • Supplier (directs and indirects) & Item (raw material and packaging) & Price Master Data setup and maintenance.

Reporting & MS Application support (40% of time)

  • Producing reports via Excel and internal reporting tools

  • Providing MS Application support as required.

  • Supporting the Indirect Category Buyer and Head of Procurement with Data Analysis & Reporting (e.g. monthly KPI)

The Indirect Buyer will have:

  • Experience working in procurement, possibly as a junior buyer or senior administrator (min. 2 years)

  • Experience of Masterdata requirements of "Procurement to Pay" process.

  • Experience within the food industry
