We are currently working with one of Britain's biggest retailers on a vacancy within their food supply chain, supporting them on a Range & Display Planner role. We are looking for individuals with experience in similar positions, with exceptional analytical and stakeholder management skills, and a strong desire to progress into a leadership role.

In this role, you will be in charge of planning range and display for the chilled category across all retail stores in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create display principles for your category using insight from customers, competitors and suppliers.

  • Manage the critical path with all display planners in your team/category

  • Finalise the optimum range for the given space

  • Create and manage the range for a commercial unit, ensuring the ranges are updated to the highest standards through the application of an agreed range change approach

  • Analyse multiple sources of commercial data (financial, customer, competition and market) to help inform and implement ranging improvements

About you:

We are looking for a driven individual with strong communication skills who is able to build lasting relationships and act with integrity while sharing and conveying the company's values every day. It is necessary that you have strong influencing skills and ability to successfully achieve stakeholder engagement and management across various levels. Due to the size of the organisation, it is necessary that the ideal candidate has strong organisational skills and understand the important of being and maintaining structure and organisation. The ideal candidate will have a pro-active and visionary mind, meeting current demand but would also able to look forward and plan ahead.

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar roles within the Food/Retail/FMCG environment

  • Ability to drive agendas, relationships and team performance

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Leadership qualities and ability to coach others

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use Excel
