Technology Category Manager - Greenfield Procurement Function - Globally Renowned Media and Technology Company

Kent based/flexible home working - £58,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Package

Because of this, they are currently looking to add to their growing team to develop their existing skillset. They are looking for a procurement professional with excellent knowledge of the technology category to help build their sourcing strategy.

Technology Category Manager Role

Working in a team of 8 you will be responsible for leading all procurement for the technology category. Your primary role will be to establish a collaborative internal relationship with the IT stakeholders - gaining trust and buy in to help execute the sourcing strategy alongside the overall company goals. You will take a lead on all technology sourcing projects - examples include:

• Working with IT to negotiate software license agreements - working with suppliers to improve strategic alliances

• Identifying new telephony suppliers for global agreements

• IT professional services - working with existing suppliers and identifying more bespoke consultancies for niche tech services

• Designing a new procurement strategy for R&D technology category

Skills and Experience Required

• Procurement experience across the technology category is a must - experience leading complex negotiations on areas such as software, cloud, infrastructure and networks

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a track record of improving buy in and increasing addressable spend

• Full end to end procurement experience - examples of improving and implementing SRM processes would be beneficial

• An inquisitive and proactive mindset with the hunger to learn and improve processes and relationships

• Experience designing and rolling out a technology procurement category strategy
