Technology Category Manager- Broadcast Media Brand

TECHNOLOGY CATEGORY MANAGER - GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT/ MEDIA FIRM - KENT/ SE LONDON - £58-65K + PACKAGE

I've partnered with a renowned broadcast media brand, operating in the sporting industry to recruit a Technology Procurement Manager to join their procurement team in the midst of a transformation. Having recently appointed a new Head of Procurement, the company are transforming from a historically tactical function to a strategic, best-in-class procurement function.

Currently sitting as the number one sporting broadcasting brand with over a billion fans, they are looking to bring on strategic and innovative professionals who can join them as they continue to transform.

The Technology Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

• Identifying and delivering sourcing opportunities within the technology category through insight and analysis of the category - focusing on software licensing, broadcasting, telecoms, R&D and networks

• Managing stakeholder relationships to provide procurement expertise and commercial support to business units.

• Running the cradle to grave procurement process, from preparing tenders to managing the contracts thereafter

• Developing and implementing robust category strategies within a greenfield function

• Nurturing relationships with key IT stakeholder and gaining crucial buy in

The Technology Category Manager will have:

• A demonstrated track record of managing the IT procurement category (with exposure to technology), including software license agreements

• Preferable exposure within a broadcasting/ media environment

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• MCIPS desirable but not essential
