If we tried to squash all the personalities in the business and all the quirks and all the growth and all the promotions and all the nights out and all the weird fancy dress and all the jokes into this one tiny paragraph on the internet, it would be like trying to edit War and Peace down into 500 words. Ridiculous and impossible and quite frankly a stupid idea.
Plus, a tiny paragraph on the internet doesn’t always cut it because the truth is, you have to chat to the people; see if they’re the kind of people you want to grab a drink with or go out for dinner with. You need to walk around an office to get under the skin of it to see if you want to sit there for eight hours a day.
So instead let’s just say that here, it’s brave and it’s bold and it’s full of opportunity. That at Pod you can build a wonderful career with pretty wonderful people, even if they do have a questionable love for fancy dress. So, let’s leave it at that for now until you come in, have a cuppa, actually meet the gang and realise that maybe, just maybe, this tiny paragraph on the internet was telling the truth.
It all started with four of us around Jon’s kitchen table. We loved supply chain, loved recruitment but were frustrated about the reputation of our industry. So Pod was born. It was a risky move. We were scared but excited. However, it paid off. We won awards four years in a row. Won the best agency to work for. Signed huge clients like Danone, Kraft Heinz, Coty and Amazon. In 2018 we moved into our new home with space to grow.
Comfortable in our new home, finally with room to stretch out, we re-wrote our values, mission statement and brand. We've come up with some big, hairy, audacious goals. Created a sales and marketing function. Had an internal restructure. Launched new products and an internal Jedi scheme. Got excited. Got really excited for chapter two.
We plan to be five times as big as we are now. That means global offices and more people. We’ve promised ourselves never to be big for the sake of it, but instead to be the best supply chain recruitment company in the world. This is, and always has been, about improving our industry. We’re going to be the best agency to work for. We’re going to keep innovating and coming up with wild ideas. We’ll be the ones to lead on diversity & inclusion because we’ve been doing it since those kitchen table days. There’ll be lots of laughter and excitement and fancy dress (it’s just something we do), but our future is about excellence. A razor-sharp commitment to building something so bloody brilliant, everyone (that’s clients, candidates and employees – maybe even your neighbour) wants to be a part of it. We’re building something beautiful.
That means bringing your whole self to work and creating space for everyone else to be their complete, wonderful, quirky and different self.
There's no lying, no cheating, no misleading and definitely no egos around here. We are open with our opinions and honest in everything we do.
As an ambitious bunch we're always trying to be better than we were yesterday. Excellence is our bench mark and we go up from there.
We like wild ideas, audacious plans and we throw creativity at everything we do. Never just accepting things 'the way they are', always getting creative to find better ways of working and living.
Your growth is everything
We only achieve our ambitions if you can grow with us, and so we take your career and personal development very seriously. We build leaders. Offer opportunity. Seek potential. Love the go-getters.
No crap KPIs
We know that crap targets lead to crap actions so at Pod everyone sets their own targets each quarter. Everyone here is responsible for this business and has a sense of ownership over it. No one is doing stuff because someone told them to, but because they want to.
Don't leave who you are at the door. Bring your true self, your real personality, your quirks and your values. Bring your funny habits, your history and your culture. Individuality is the core at Pod, which is to say, we respect everyone's differences and everyone respects yours.
great people, great culture
We don't work with dickheads. The rest becomes apparent when you meet us.
creativity keeps us alive
It's the secret sauce in everything we do. In 2012 we disrupted the industry by being one of the first truly ethical customer-focused agencies. Now, we're still pushing ourselves to create better ways of working, better services and unique approaches to growing our people. Your creativity (whatever form it comes in) is welcome here.
the money also helps
If you're coming here just to make money, it probably won't work. However, we do pay well and if you're one of us and you get it, you'll make plenty of money.
we are brave and we are true
We love the crazy recruitment roller-coaster, but we also want to challenge the stereotypes and fight the labels. We never lie. We always treat people with respect. We have courage. We fight for what is right. We strive for excellence. We act ethically. We stand by our people.
we're employee owned
That means no dragons breathing down our neck wanting their investment back. We make the decisions. We own the business. We're all bought in. The entire leadership team is united behind our strategy. It's just how we do things. It's the Pod Way.
customers are mad for us
Forgive us for quickly pointing out that candidates and clients adore us. They consistently tell us we're truly and actually different, and their loyalty shows it. We've got a phenomenal client list of some of the biggest and most established brands, as well as up and coming challenger brands, and the best part about it is they keep coming back for more, and actually, that says everything.
we've got big plans
We're hungry and we're ambitious and we're here to make some serious moves. The plan is to be five times as big as we are today. That means new offices, new sectors, new products, new roles, new brand, new website, new people. If we were the Avengers, we'd basically be assembling right now.

There are lots of opportunities to really shape the direction of the business, get involved in broader projects and to continue to develop my career.
I decided to join Pod because I knew that I was going to be looked after properly. Recruitment was entirely new to me, and Pod promised me a real training and progression programme that I found genuinely exciting at the start of a new career.
Why I joined Pod? I can be me. I can grow professionally and personally with no restrictions or anyone telling me to water myself down.
Pod valued the same things I did as Head of Recruitment at Danone: a second to none candidate/customer experience and a non-negotiable focus on quality.
I saw the opportunity to work with a team of senior leaders who were real experts in Supply Chain and where I felt like I could continue to learn something.
Every client or candidate I would speak to who was engaged with Pod couldn't speak highly enough of their experience with Pod.
The passion to disrupt the industry by driving quality based on genuine values, was clearer than anywhere else I had heard of or seen before.
I joined POD because it offered a unique environment where I could be surrounded by great people and I am also given all the support, tools and training I need to ensure a long and successful career! And it’s a dog friendly office.
I joined because the culture is radiating with energy and passion, and everyone makes you feel part of the team as soon as you enter the office.
