I am working with an exciting FMCG business in Gloucestershire that is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team (1 day per week in the office).

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the E2E supply chain operations across the business. This role sits at the centre of the supply chain, working closely with sales, finance, and warehouse partners to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time, while managing the day-to-day performance of outsourced 3PL and 4PL logistics partners. You will also manage a junior Operations Executive.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is planning to grow by £25m over the next 5 years, with this role growing alongside the company's expansion.

In this role:

  • Lead the end-to-end supply chain and S&OP process, managing demand forecasting, purchase planning, supplier coordination, and inventory replenishment to ensure product availability across all channels
  • Oversee stock, inventory, and cost management, including stock reporting, backorder resolution, COGS tracking, warehouse rework activities, and supplier invoice analysis
  • Manage relationships with 3PL, 4PL, and contract manufacturing partners, driving service performance, KPI delivery, continuous improvement, and issue resolution
  • Ensure efficient order fulfilment and customer service operations, overseeing order processing, international trade documentation, warehouse coordination, and customer supply queries
  • Lead and develop the Operations Executive while delivering operational reporting, business improvement projects, master data management, and supply chain optimisation initiatives

About you:

  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar role within an FMCG environment
  • Proven experience managing outsourced 3PL and/or 4PL logistics partners, including performance management, KPI scorecards, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience leading or contributing to a formal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel capabilities, ERP system experience, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proactive and highly organised, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills

If interested, apply directly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and make a real impact within a high-growth business.

Please note: sponsorship is not available for this position.
